1-1 appointments
One to one appointments are tailor-made and focus on exactly what your body needs in order to feel well.
Whether you are struggling with a pelvic floor issue such as incontinence or prolapse; you want to improve abdominal strength or heal a diastasis-recti (abdominal separation); or you simply want to move with a deeper awareness and create more balance in your body, a 1-1 appointment is the ideal option.
Using a combination of modalities that may include Restore Your CoreĀ®, the Pilates reformer, Hypopressives or manual myofascial release, 1-1 appointments take place either from my home studio in Bardsey, from the Move Well studio in Sicklinghall, or online via Zoom.
Before the appointment, I will ask you to send me some short videos or photos so I can assess your posture, movement and breath. You will also be invited to complete an intake form, so I know about your aims and goals for the session. This will help me to ensure I know exactly what to work on when I see you, and we can make the most of the time together.
During the appointment, I’ll share what I see in your movement and your breathing, and explain why these may be contributing to your symptoms. Once you know and understand your postural patterns you will naturally start to move with more awareness, and make better choices for your body and your wellness.
We will then work through some exercises to help bring your system into balance, improve mobility and stability where it may be lacking, and help your body to move with more ease.
At the end of the session, you will receive a full recap of the exercises we did, and the reason we did them, as well as either written or video instructions of what to work on in your own time. Practicing on your own really is where the magic happens, so I will always ensure that your homework is concise, accessible and can be woven into your daily activities – I know how precious your time is, and that you need maximum gains in the shortest of time.
